Melissa McCarthy looked noticeably thinner at the Elle Women In Hollywood 2025 event held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on Monday evening. The 55-year-old actress wore an orange-and-black floral print dress, paired with rust-colored platform boots, highlighting her more slender appearance.

McCarthy has neither confirmed nor denied using Ozempic. An Instagram comment where Barbra Streisand inquired about the drug went unanswered; McCarthy expressed feeling flattered that Streisand recognized her.

The Spy star has attributed her weight loss to lifestyle changes. During an interview on The Breakfast Club, she mentioned focusing on weight loss. Estimates suggest she's lost between 75lbs and 95lbs. Last year, McCarthy clarified that she wasn't relying on quick fixes for weight loss.

She told People, "What's the hurry? I think everybody's always kind of working on something. And I was like, 'If I can de-stress and just do it slower and stop constantly trying to be on something,'" She added, "And then it actually worked better instead of being like, 'I'm gonna not do this and do this and only drink this.'" She also noted, "After I had kids, I was just like, 'I have to be realistic. It's not gonna go fast.'"

In her younger years, McCarthy engaged in extreme diets but vowed to 'never do that again' due to feeling 'starved and crazy half the time.' Currently, she prepares homemade vegetable soups and freezes them, and has reduced her family's intake of processed foods. The SNL alum also started working out while training for Spy, incorporating piloxing, tennis, and strength training into her routine. The Bridesmaids actress also shared that feeling good about herself is a primary goal. The Ghostbusters star stated, "I feel sexiest when I feel comfortable, when I feel most myself, when I'm not trying to be anything other than who I am. [I love] all of it: my flaws, my shortcomings, my body parts that you're like, 'Well, couldn't that be better?'"

According to People, she said, "I think, especially after having kids, I go, 'Well, the alternative is pretty bad. I'll take me as I am.'" Her most recent project is Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey, where she plays Patsy Ramsey alongside co-stars Clive Owen and Garrett Hedlund.
