Denmark's Municipal and Regional Elections: Key Information
Elections are scheduled to occur across all 98 municipalities and 4 regions in Denmark. Polling stations will be open from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Voting Requirements
To cast your vote, proceed to the polling station indicated on the voting card (valgkort) received via postal mail. Even without the card, voting is still possible. Verify your polling station's location on your municipality's website and present a valid ID or passport.
Who is Eligible to Vote?
Any resident who is 18 years or older and has permanent residency in a municipality or region can vote in Denmark's municipal and regional elections.

Citizens from EU member states, Iceland, Norway, and the UK can vote immediately. Other foreign citizens must have resided in Denmark for a minimum of four years to be eligible. Qualified voters are automatically included on the electoral roll.
