Millie Bobby Brown Responds to Ozempic Allegations Regarding Vecna in Stranger Things Season 5
Millie Bobby Brown, the star of Stranger Things, addressed an unusual fan theory concerning the character Vecna during her December 7 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Jimmy Fallon playfully brought up the online speculation suggesting that Vecna appeared noticeably slimmer in Stranger Things season 5 because he was supposedly "on Ozempic." Brown confirmed that she had also seen the online discussions.
She expressed amusement at viewers scrutinizing Vecna's physique, treating the monstrous character as if he were a celebrity subject to appearance analysis.
"I saw that, too. It's funny that people are commenting on Vecna's body. I mean, God help him if he gets a little lip filler," she remarked.
Millie Bobby Brown also confirmed that Netflix presented various spin-off ideas internally, including concepts like "Is Dustin Cake?" and "K-Pop: Demogorgon Hunters." Another idea was titled "With Love, Vecna", and one she “almost said yes to,” titled “Eleven in Paris.”

She mentioned that everyone around her emphasized the emotional nature of the ending, leaving her unsure about how to prepare. While the rest of the cast entered the table read without prior knowledge, Brown had already taken action to find out what happened.
"Everybody kept hyping it up, and I didn't really know how I was gonna react...And then the night before the last table read, we didn't know what was gonna happen, nobody knew. I actually did know," Brown stated.

She then revealed her strategy for obtaining answers, joking about "blackmailing the directors" with potentially embarrassing high school photos if they withheld information. She explained:
"I like to blackmail the directors. I have, like, high school pictures of them that I will say, 'I will release this if you don't tell me what's happening.'"
Millie Bobby Brown explained that she eventually "snuck" into the writers' room the night before the final table read.
She described finding a large whiteboard outlining each Stranger Things character's ending and admitted that it was "so much to process," emphasizing the overwhelming feeling of seeing the entire conclusion at once.
She stated that the remaining cast members entered the table read "no one else knowing anything," which made the experience even more emotionally charged.
Millie Bobby Brown described the day as "really wholesome," noting that:
"We didn't sit at a table, we sat on couches and we just cried for basically two hours straight.
Volume 1 of Stranger Things season five is now available on Netflix. The second volume will be released on December 25, with the series finale dropping on December 31.
